Gold Statue, Telly Awards

Award received for "Prepared to Serve...the Naval Academy in the Vietnam Era", a 2003 video production sponsored by the U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1968. Marine combat veteran and former Secretary of the Navy James H. Webb (a member of the class of 1968) was the production's executive producer. The video documentary describes how the war in Vietnam influenced Naval Academy graduates of that period and how they, in turn, contributed to the Academy's legacy of service to the nation during that conflict.

 


Bronze Statue, Telly Awards

Award received for "Patriotism and You," a 2002 video production for the Committee for Citizen Awareness. The 25-minute video was produced to serve as a teaching aid in schools across the country. The video featured Secretary of State Colin Powell, Senators Max Cleland and Joseph Biden, Rep. Henry Hyde, and former Senate Majority Leader and Presidential candidate Bob Dole. The Video explores what high school students think of patriotism, especially in the wake of September 11, 2001.

 


Bronze Medal, Case Awards

Award received for "Leaders For The Nation," a 2001 video production for the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation's Development Campaign. The 12-minute video highlighted "centers of excellence" in the academy's strategic plan and featured interviews with distinguished alumni, including Sen. John McCain and Roger Staubach.

Award received for "Our Navy Story: A Legacy of Honor, Courage, and Commitment." Awarded for a high standard of excellence in documentary production. The Telly has become one of the most sought-after awards in the TV, commercial and video industry. The Telly statue has even appeared on the set of many prime-time TV shows, such as "thirtysomething," "Murder, She Wrote," "Newhart," "News Radio," and most recently in the movie "What Women Want." In the past 22 years, winners and finalists have come from a large cross-section of agencies, production companies, television stations, and cable operations, as well as corporate video departments.

Award received for "Avoiding Pedestrian Accidents." This video, produced for the Safety Management Council of the American Trucking Associations, was designed to train truck drivers on safety measures concerning pedestrians.

For "Sink Kingdom" This thirty-second ad was designed and produced for Shreve-McGonegal to introduce their company to general viewers in a memorable manner.
